THE TRUTH ABOUT YOGA!

Its 100 days to the release of my compelling, exciting and fascinating new book, CRUSHING THE DEVIL: Your Guide to Spiritual Warfare and Victory in Christ. It releases on May 1st 2012! To celebrate this special day, I have decided to reproduce this piece on Yoga from the book to give you a taste of what to expect from this interesting book, which seeks to unmask the devil and help you live victoriously in Christ. The book has been described  as "a classic" by a pastor.

  **************************************

Yoga is a Hindu practice. Hindu disciples will meditate on a word, phrase, or picture for hours, days, months or even years attempting to achieve a state of transcendence or an internal harmony with the universe. Yoga is a tool espoused by Hindus to help with meditation; it involves meditation, chanting, postures, and breathing exercises.

Hinduism is one of the key foundations of the New Age and Transcendental Meditation. Hindus believe in many gods, but Brahma is the chief god, the omnipresent one who is father of the Brahman Trinity. He has four heads, three of which can be seen from any point of view. Jesus Christ is seen as a teacher, a guru, or an avatar (an incarnation of Vishnu). He is a son of God as are others. His death does nothing toward atonement for sins and he did not rise from the dead. Salvation is the release from the cycles of reincarnation by achieving a state of transcendence or an internal harmony with the universe. This can take many lifetimes. Salvation is achieved through yoga and meditation.

Repeated reincarnations may be required as a person gradually moves to higher and higher levels till he leaves the cycle. He must bring this about by his own effort. The gods may help, but there is no concept of a Supreme Being who pays the penalty of sin on behalf of the sinner. Final salvation is ultimately absorption or union with Brahman.

Clearly, by partaking in yoga, you are agreeing with the notion of salvation by Hinduism and accepting their teaching that Jesus did not rise from the dead, and that his death does not atone for sin!”
